  2. Hold the piece you are sanding against the fence. This will prevent it from being dragged along with the belt. The belt always moves towards the fence.

    • Push the start button before you touch your piece to the belt.

    • The same start button starts both the belt and disk sander.

  3. The belt sander always spins counterclockwise, so hold your piece against the left side of the fence. Loosen the locking knob to angle the fence. This allows you to sand at an angle.
