The main areas to clean include the table, the vice, the wall in the back, and the tray underneath.

Use a steel wire brush (there should be one on the lathe) to sweep the chips into the tray below (through the holes) or on the ground

Continue to use the steel wire brush to brush the chips off the back of the wall into the tray underneath

Use the steel wire brush to collect all the chips and shavings into the corner of the tray

Use paper towels to pick up and dispose of the lathe chips

Put away all tools used (including drill bits, calipers, etc.)

Use a broom and dustpan to sweet up any remaining chips in the area

The machine and floor should be clean now!
