The granulator is normally stored in the instrument/electronics shop which is adjacent to the IFL.
-
You need to relocate the granulator so it is near a high voltage plug in the IFL during operation.
-
-
-
Before granulating anything, you should verify that the last user has cleaned out the granulator to reduce cross contamination.
-
Unscrew the two screws on the front and the granulator chute should be able to pivot so that the blades are accessible.
-
Also release the lever on the front so that the bottom container is released.
-
Use the large shop vac to clean out any granulate remaining in the machine. Also verify it is emptied as you will be using it later.
-
Close up everything when you are done cleaning.
-
-
-
The granulator is LOUD, so make sure to wear hearing protection when the machine is running.

Also make sure you are wearing a pair of safety glasses.
