Introduction

This will introduce you to the most common types of integrated circuit packaging: DIP, SOIC, and more.

  1. Most common for plugging into breadboards or DIP sockets Features long, widely spaced prongs that extend downward from the IC The most common pitch (distance between pins) is 2.54mm

We should add a subsection that explains the most common method of attaching to pcb and/or what methods we have available at TW.
