The HP Jet Fusion 580 uses fusing, detailing, and colored ink agent cartridges throughout every print. After a while they will get used up and need to be replaced.

Wear gloves and a mask

On the touchpad click the maintenance tab

Go to Agents > Replace

Open the agent door

Locate the agent to be replaced.

You can see which agent needs to be replaced on the front panel; it is also indicated by a white LED above the cartridge

Press the agent to release and remove it.

You should hear a click as you remove it.

Old agent cartridges can be recycled through HP's Planet Partners Program, where available. Visit http://www.hp.com/recycle/ for more information.

Acquire a new cartridge from the HP cabinet

Do not touch the metal contacts on the cartridge. Fingerprints on the contacts can cause connection errors.

Insert the new agent cartridge until you hear a click

Close the agent door

Tap Finish and Check on the touchpad
