Introduction
The HP Jet Fusion 580 uses powder cartridges to hold the material for printing. There are two cartridges: one for fresh powder and one for recycled powder. Once these empty they will need to be replaced.

On the touchpad press Maintenance > Material > Fresh material or Reusable material > Replace

Open the material door. You will see a white LED in the form of a vertical line above or below the cartridge that needs to be replaced

Pull the handle straight out to remove the cartridge from the slot

Each full cartridge is about 11 pounds

Reattach the cap before storing the cartridge

Remove the cap from the packaging of the new cartridge

Insert the new cartridge into the slot until the lock icon turns on. There is no need to rotate it: just push it straight in

Close the material door and tap Finish and check on the touchpad
