    • The importance of dimensional validation before starting

    • Stock orientation and layout on the build plate.

    • Watching the cutting process to ensure there aren’t any spots with poor cuts.

    • Turning on the BOFA and chiller.

    • Have a trained Kern technician or above observe you as you complete the process of creating and then running test cuts on the Kern unassisted.

    • Successfully produce the following deliverables before being permitted to advance to the next stage:

    • Create a wooden nametag with both cuts and engraving.

    • If there is no Kern technician scheduled during the trainee’s shift, you may move on to the next stage.

    • Read, Learn, Demonstrate is designed to only take at most around 50-75% of your two hour shift. The rest of the time should be used to perform tasks from previous TECH training sections.

    • Shadowing techs as they complete Kern orders

    • Completing Epilog orders

    • Completing SLA orders

    • Completing Markforged, Bambu and Prusa MK4 orders

    • Cleaning up and completing routine maintenance tasks.

    • Helping with order pickups and customer interaction.
