Onboarding Checklist
Complete these tasks before your start date.
- Understand how Training Scheduling will work:
- Mondays and Tuesdays are “A” shifts — required once a week
- Wednesdays and Thursdays are “B” shifts — required once a week
- Fridays will be make-up shifts on a first come, first serve basis ( “A” and “B” shifts)
- Notify LCs if you anticipate missing ANY training shifts
- Missing more than 1 shift a week will be handled on a case by case basis
- Complete Hiring Paperwork in the EIT Office
- Set up your Terrapin Works tour with a Lab Coordinator
- Please join #talk-it-questions for any IT related questions with TW
- Visit the Portal to Complete Services Onboarding — portal.terrapin.works
- Onboarding will give access to:
- Your own @umd.edu g-Suite account

- Papercut Access — go.umd.edu/submit
- Asset Management System Access — assets.tw.umd.edu
- Ticketing System Access — help.eng.umd.edu

- Swipe Access to TAP, RPC and MIC labs (Select: TAP exterior, TAP1102, TAP1103)
- Your own @umd.edu g-Suite account
- Please visit portal.tw.umd.edu/software/ and download:
- Slack (desktop/mobile)
- TW Chrome Extension
- MakerBot Print
- MakerBot Desktop (optional)
- Meshmixer
- AFTER you complete the safety walkthrough on your first shift, slack Safety Officer (Andy Gregory) to set up a time to complete hazard assessment forms in the AFL (AJC 2123)
- Inform MIC LC with confirmed time to input in Paycor if necessary
