How do I schedule meetings in Zoom?

I am confused as to how I should schedule meetings in Zoom. Do I do this in the Zoom interface? Does the other person get a notification after I have scheduled a meeting in Zoom?

Options

You can schedule a meeting in Zoom in several different interfaces.

  1. You can use the UMD Zoom web portal to schedule a meeting.
  2. You can use a Zoom + Google Calendar integration to schedule a meeting (preferred & suggested by EIT).

There are several Zoom + Google Calendar integrations available. We suggest starting with the native Zoom + Google Calendar integration for basic features. If you find you require more settings for each individual meeting, check out the Zoom + Google Calendar Chrome / Firefox extension.
