TT-01: General Information
This guide gives trainees an overview of the lab space and TAP.
- Staff should give trainees a tour of the Fab Farm and also show them important places and safety information in TAP
- Trainers should give the TAP safety tour
- This guide will be introduced during Additive Orientation

- Have trainees clock in using the machine and with Paycor
- Explain purposes of each system: timesheets (tracking hours for payment), Paycor (managers can monitor clock ins/outs, Slack (internal communication), Papercut (customer communication)

Into to Jira
Trainers should introduce the Jira Training Print Board and explain how they will learn TW’s printing workflow while also tracking their ‘issue’ from start to end.
- Emphasize that we do not normally track customer jobs in Jira. This is to illustrate the use of Jira, and to helo us track the trainees training prints
- There is generally a lot of material that is covered, so showing trainees current Dashboards, Issues, and Projects would be most effective
TT-02: Prusa i3 MK3S
The second Technician training course for The Farm focuses on a complete tutorial on workflows, machine introductions and basic operation of the Prusa i3 MK3S
Printer Intro
- Remind trainees where filament is stored (PLA shelf and the four tan cabinets for other materials)
- Walk through the intro to FDM presentation, which is also linked in the guide
- Show trainees harvesting station and printer repair station, and relevant tools at each station
- Introduce trainees to the printer wall
- 18 operating Prusas, Makergear, FT-6, and Makerbots
- Keep the area around the printers clean by sweeping up debris
- Introduce the printer interface
- Show trainees how to navigate through the interfaces using the knobs
- Also show the power switch in the back
- Have trainees find a training print if they have not already. Review their model and give feedback on suitability.
