Introduction
The Wazer is a desktop waterjet that uses 80 grit abrasive (garnet) and a 4000 psi water stream to cut through many materials, from metal to glass to plastic. It is not as fast as a laser cutter, but does not have the same limitations on thickness and type of material, making it a versatile machine.
Specifications
Cut Area: 18”x12”
Bed Area: 19”x13”
Kerf (width of cut): 0.044”
Positional Accuracy: 0.003”
Continuous Cutting Time: 60 minutes (after this, the machine will pause and wait for the garnet to be refilled)
Max Working Pressure: 4600 psi
Max Flow Rate: 0.6 gpm
Troubleshooting
There are many things that can cause errors when using the machine. During normal operation, most of these will not occur. However, if something does go wrong, INFORM THE STAFF MEMBER ON SHIFT, then go to Wazer's support page (linked below) or google the issue to find solutions. Wazer has excellent support and troubleshooting documentation.
Material Compatibility and Max Thickness
Each material listed has preset cut settings from Wazer. The thickness listed is that max thickness that the wazer can cut. The material and thickness will both affect the cutting speed, which can be found here: Cut Settings and Cut Time Calculator
